CloudView V6R2020x focuses mainly on overall robustness and performance improvements.
This release has been fully recompiled with more recent compilers for Windows and Linux. Consequently, RHEL6 and Suse 11 are no longer supported.
The default running JVM is now a Java 11 OpenJ9 (but other Java 11 JVM can be used).
Upgrade Notes
For the backend part of CloudView, there are no configuration or data format changes between V6R2019x and V6R2020x .
The cvapps generated with V6R2019x are also compatible with V6R2020x.
However, you may need to change custom widgets in the Mashup Builder, as Spring and HighCharts have been upgraded.
If you migrate from a version older than V6R2019x, see the specific upgrade notes of previous releases.
Removed components
SOAP is no longer supported to perform MAMI calls.
Change of default behaviors
Exception returned in case of MAMI errors is no longer a SOAPFaultException but a PostUtilException. Note: SOAP was not supported anymore since V6R2018x but this exception was still used.
A new JVM is used with a different Garbage Collector, so you may need to adapt Xmx or use specific GC tunings.
